Atlantica was born in Asturias in 1998 as the response from several Artisanal cheese producers to provide their foreign customers with the most reliable export tool.

Although international markets were not at the top of the mind for Asturian cheese makers in 1998, Atlantica´s experience that year at the Summer Fancy Food Show in NYC demonstrated American consumer´s interest in good cheese.
